la luna de muy bonita (a very beautiful moon)..:)Blergh..it's just a moon. Well, this moon is not an 'ordinary moon' but it's a SUPERMOON!
It is a SUPERMOON okay? Not Superman...or Sailormoon -_-. What is it actually? Let's check it out:
According to space.com, a supermoon is the biggest full moon that can be seen where the moon is closer to Earth than that it has been in more than 18 years because of a fluke of orbital mechanics. On Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, the moon will arrive at its closest point to the Earth in 2011: a distance of 221,565 miles (356,575 kilometers) away. At its peak, the supermoon of March 2011 may appear 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than lesser full moons (when the moon is at its farthest from Earth).
Subhanallah..what a beautiful creation of Allah s.w.t. I am still mesmerized by this supermoon although I've spent almost 2 hours staring at it while taking picture.Yep, I love to stare at the moon and I get all excited when there is a full moon (i'm not a vampire-edward-twilight though). Staring at the moon, alone at night..I don't know how to describe it but...it is peaceful for sure. And I know there are thousands of people out there love to stare at the moon..like I do.
Yeah..we all stare at the same moon..:)
